Clay art making classes

Mawson Gallery owner and ceramic artist, Monika Leone offers classes in handbuilding with clay. 

The sessions include: coiling, modelling and slab-building clay into more free-form pieces.  The classes will also cover glazing, decorating and firing.  Work on projects such as making handbuilt mugs, jewellery  boxes and small containers, bowls, vases, etc. Or you can make other creations  with professional guidance.

Tuesday evening and Friday morning classes now in session but some new students can be accommodated. 

NEXT TERM'S CLASSES BEGIN: 
Tuesday evenings           7.00pm - 9.30pm -  beginning   7  February  2012 
Friday mornings           10-.00am -12.30pm - beginning  10  February 2012


Course fees include: 
  • tuition
  • clay (various available)
  • glazes (a variety) 
  • use of tools 
  • underglaze, colours
  • 2 kiln firings - bisque & glazing
  • Coffee, tea and supper.

    Course fees: $55 per session 

    Any classes missed may be made up during the term at an equivalent class with notice, but missed classes cannot be transferred to the next term.
